The Education City Running Series

In conjunction with Qatar Foundation, TriClub Doha kicks off the Education City Running Series events on Saturday 1st October 2022. There will be 10K and 5K races with distances for beginners and kids too, taking place at Qatar Foundation, starting from Oxygen Park in Education City. Race 2 of the series is the inaugural Education City 10 KM which will start and finish at Oxygen Park.

The planned dates for 2022-2023 season are:
Race 1 : Saturday 1st October
Race 2 : The Education City 10K - Friday 3rd February 2023

Race 3 : Thursday 18th May 2023 (Night Run 5K)

Race Distances:

Kids 1 (7-9)  2.25K 
Kids 2 (10-11)  2.25K
Kids 3 (12-13) 2.25K
Junior (14-17)  5K
Adults 18+  5K or 10K
MiniKids  1K

At each race, all participants receive a finisher's medal. All finishers will be provided with refreshments at the finish line.

Chip Timing
The race is timed by the use of a mylaps prochip timing system. Club Members, & Event Members using their own timing chips, are responsible to make sure their chip is updated on the website and active on the date of registration and date of the race in order to obtain the correct price. Event Members paying full price are provided a chip for the event, however, a deposit of a Qatar ID or equivalent is needed at race registration.

Awards and Podium Presentation
At the end of the race each, first three places for each sex are awarded winners medals at the podium for the following categories:

Kids 1, Kids 2, Kids 3, Junior, Open 5K, Open 10K, Masters 5K, Masters 10K

2023-2023 Club Championship Awards

Club members participating in the Education City Running Series will be eligible to collect points towards the club championship. The running events will count towards the overall club championship (10 events required to qualify.) Points are awarded based on the position in the race age group; 50 points for 1st place, 49 points for 2nd place, and so on with a minimum of 10 points for competing in the race in each age group.
